The 6361 supersedes the earlier Slick 6261. Champion lists the MK604 maintenance kit and the MK631 500-hour inspection kit for this model. L-1318 gives left-hand rotation and a 35° impulse-coupling lag angle for the 6361. The shaft rotation is shown on the data plate; the replacement magneto must have the same rotation as the one removed.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLycoming requires a replacement with the same or a superseding model and asks for confirmation from the airframe manufacturer that the Slick magneto is acceptable for the airframe. Lycoming requires pressurized magnetos on TIO-540 engines. On EASA aircraft the magneto is timed to the engine after installation and released to service with a Certificate of Release to Service.
