It is available for two four- or six-cylinder engines, with EGT and CHT probes for every cylinder and data recording. It is a non-primary instrument: the aircraft's primary engine instruments remain and take precedence.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStandard functions are EGT and CHT on every cylinder as a bar graph with digital values, LeanFind leaning mode, normalize view, EGT spread (DIF), shock cooling rate, bus voltage and programmable alarms. Engine data is recorded and downloads through a USB port on the front of the instrument; an RS-232 port sends serial data. Fuel flow, oil temperature, OAT, TIT, carburettor and induction air temperature are available as options. The instrument adapts to 14 V or 28 V automatically.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eInstallation follows JPI Report No. 760 under FAA STC SA00729SE for the twin piston aircraft on its approved model list; a US STC is not automatic EASA approval.
