The battery pack A3-06-3182 holds eight D alkaline cells (12 V, 10 Ah), is replaced in the field at five-year intervals; the beacon ships as non-hazmat.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe ELT 4000S is TSO-certified with its mounting bracket and is installed in it. The bracket is a separate part number in pin-right (A3-06-3190-2) and pin-left (A3-06-3190-3) versions. The beacon holds FAA TSO-C126c and Cospas-Sarsat type approval, and Artex states EASA acceptance under the FAA–EASA bilateral agreement. This is not an installation approval: an aircraft registered in an EASA state needs approved installation data and a release to service after installation. Fit depends on the aircraft type.
