The installation needs a metal ground plane with a radius of at least 7.5 in (190.5 mm), at least 2 ft from VHF COM antennas, 22.5 in (571 mm) from L-band and UHF transmit antennas and at least 9 in centre-to-centre from other antennas. Washers, locknuts and any doubler are not included.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGarmin states that the FAA TSO authorization makes the GA 35S an approved article in the EASA system; the installation still needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service. The US AML STC SA02018SE-D is not automatic EASA approval.
