garmin-013-00276-50
Garmin 013-00276-50 Low-Profile Directional TCAS Antenna for GTS Systems

Garmin P/N 013-00276-50 is a low-profile directional TCAS antenna, white, with short TNC connectors, built by Sensor Systems as S72-1735-26. Garmin lists it for the GTS 800, GTS 820 and GTS 850 traffic systems and for the GTS Processor (GTS 825, GTS 855 and GTS 8000). The four-element array works at 1030 and 1090 MHz, has four TNC female connectors and a teardrop radome with a leading-edge erosion shield, and weighs 765 g (27 oz).

The larger base plate makes the antenna more tolerant of a reduced ground plane, although Garmin recommends a ground plane of at least 18 × 18 in for every traffic antenna. Each antenna connector and its cable carry a matching colour band. The same antenna is available in black as 013-00276-51 and with long TNC connectors as 013-00276-00 and -01.

Garmin’s GTS 8XX AML STC lists the antenna as compatible but requires its installation under a separate approval. On a certified aircraft the antenna therefore needs an approved modification for the type and a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the installed GTS model.
