It is the update of the GEA 24, keeps its four D-sub connectors (9, 25, 37 and 50 pin) and weighs 0.336 kg.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWith the GI 275, each engine needs one GEA 24B and one GI 275; four-, six- and seven-cylinder piston engines are supported, turbines are not, and the limits are single and twin piston aircraft up to 6,000 lb take-off weight and a 32,000 ft service ceiling. The G3X Touch STC covers single piston engines of up to six cylinders. One GEA 24B cannot serve both systems.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe module is mounted in the cabin, not in the engine compartment, and connects resistive fuel floats directly. Garmin approves it in the US G3X Touch AML STC SA01899WI, which is not an EASA approval; a certified aircraft needs an approved modification, such as an EASA STC or a validated STC for the type, and a Certificate of Release to Service.
