With the GI 275 it communicates with the internal ADAHRS over RS-232 and is limited to Class I and II aircraft up to 6,000 lb take-off weight. In a certified G3X Touch system it works with the GSU 25D ADAHRS.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGarmin prefers mounting in the wing, away from electric motors, ferromagnetic material and electrical conductors; the unit must not be mounted on an access panel and is levelled within 3.0° in pitch and roll. A US AML STC is not automatic EASA approval: a certified aircraft needs an approved modification covering the type, such as an EASA STC or a validated STC, and a Certificate of Release to Service.
