JPI also lists the 400509 as the oil temperature option for the EDM-730\/830 and EDM-350; the 400505 with 1\/8 NPT thread is the probe for an alternate location. The probe location follows the engine manufacturer's data. The EDM installation manual is FAA-approved under a US STC; in an EASA aircraft the installation needs an approved modification and a release to service.
