It is available for four-, six-, seven-, eight- and nine-cylinder engines, without fuel tank level inputs or with fuel level for two or four tanks; seven- to nine-cylinder kits read four tanks. It has a colour TFT display (1000 cd\/m²) and a red or yellow ENGINE alert light mounted with the primary flight instruments.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eStandard functions are RPM, manifold pressure, EGT and CHT on every cylinder, oil temperature and pressure, fuel flow with fuel used and time to empty, OAT, volts, amps and percent horsepower. Engine data is recorded, with GPS position from a GPS connected over RS-232, and downloads to a USB stick.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe EDM-900 replaces the original engine instruments as a primary instrument under EASA STC 10051939 (FAA STC SA01435SE) for the aircraft types on its approved model list. The installation follows JPI Report No. 908, uses an aircraft-specific database and ends with a Certificate of Release to Service. The kit includes 8 ft pre-wired harnesses, EGT and CHT probes for every cylinder, the standard engine sensors and a FloScan fuel flow transducer; hoses and fittings for the pressure senders are not included.
