jpi-edm-960-twin
JPI EDM-960 Twin Primary Engine Monitor

JPI EDM-960 Twin is a primary engine monitor for piston twins and replaces the original engine instruments. Configurations cover four- to nine-cylinder engines, with or without fuel level inputs; choose yours below. The system has one EDM-930 color display, one EDM-950 data acquisition unit per engine and two remote alarm displays; the JPI parts list includes EGT and CHT probes for every cylinder of both engines.

The display shows RPM, manifold pressure, EGT and CHT of every cylinder, oil temperature and pressure, fuel flow, fuel used and time to empty, OAT, volts, amps and percent power. Each EDM-950 mounts on the cold side of the firewall and sends data to the display over a serial link, so no thermocouple wiring runs through the wing.

In EASA aircraft, the installation follows EASA STC 10051935 for the types on its approved model list and ends with a Certificate of Release to Service. JPI configures each unit to the engine limits and instrument markings of the specific aircraft. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the engine model. An order needs the engine limitation pages of the POH.

J.P.
