The unit is FAA TSO-C35d approved and runs on 14 V and 28 V systems (11–33 V DC, max. 0.25 A).\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHigh or low sensitivity, lamp test and audio mute are selected with an external on-off-momentary switch wired to the unit. Three active-high outputs drive external 12 V marker lamps and active-low open-collector outputs serve other avionics; both can be used at the same time. A middle marker sense output is available for the flight control system.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe MB10R mounts on an avionics shelf or in an avionics bay with screws or nut plates. Connections are a 15-pin D-sub connector and a BNC antenna connector. The 75 MHz marker antenna on the underside of the aircraft, the circuit breaker and the wiring are not included. In an EASA aircraft, the installation is an approved modification followed by a Certificate of Release to Service.
