ARINC 429 attitude and radar altitude input, in place of ARINC 407 synchro, is a key-code option that needs rewiring. The unit runs on 20–33 V DC, 40 W nominal, and is limited to Category I approaches.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen a listed ADI is replaced, the existing aircraft wiring is normally retained and only 28 V DC power is added through a separate connector. A certified aircraft needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service. EASA STCs exist for the Cessna Citation S550 (10029542) and, held by Scandinavian Avionics, for the King Air 200\/300 and 1900C (03767).
