In its mounting tray the unit measures 48 × 66 × 160 mm and weighs 350 g; no forced-air cooling is required.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe radio is operated from the separate TC90 panel controller, which it also powers; one radio can be controlled from two TC90 controllers. A 25-way D-type connector carries power, the controller link, microphone, PTT, headphone, speaker, intercom key and auxiliary audio lines; the antenna connects through a TNC connector. Dual watch monitors two frequencies at the same time, and a two-place intercom is built in. The 6 W TY91 is the version that also runs on 14 V.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis item is the radio unit only; the TC90 controller is not included. The unit can be mounted in the cockpit, the cabin or an avionics bay. Antenna, cables and airframe fixings are not supplied. Trig publishes EASA-approved Minor Change instructions for TY91\/TY92 installations in listed types, including the Cessna 150, 152 and 172 and the Robin DR400.
