The probe is supplied with a crush washer; UMA limits the torque of its smaller probes to 35 in-lb (4.0 N·m), as overtightening breaks the probe. UMA also lists a T3B10-S with a 0.50 in tip.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe probe needs no supply voltage: it delivers −2.7 to +12.9 mV and connects directly to an indicator calibrated for Type K thermocouples (yellow positive, red negative, shield grounded at the probe body); any extension must be Type K extension wire. UMA rates it for the engine compartment of fixed-wing piston, turbine and turboshaft aircraft operated below 35,000 ft, for air, oil, avgas, jet fuel and water. Installation in a certified aircraft needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service.
