Revere Aero Compact 45-AC4V-K is a four-person life raft with canopy and the Revere Standard survival kit for over-water flights in general aviation aircraft. Packed in its valise with the detachable kit, it measures 356 × 279 × 203 mm (14 × 11 × 8 in) and weighs 9.1 kg (20 lb). The raft has a single tube with one buoyancy compartment of polyurethane-coated nylon.
A self-contained CO2 system inflates the raft automatically in less than 30 seconds, and a pressure relief valve prevents over-inflation. Two 200 lb (91 kg) ballast pockets under the floor stabilise the raft. The raft comes with a hand pump, sea anchor, floating knife, bailer and water-activated locator light. The Standard kit holds the canopy with its inflatable arch, one 1000-calorie food ration, eight 125 ml (4.23 oz) drinking water packs, a first aid kit, a flashlight with two AA batteries, a whistle, a signal mirror, a signal flare kit, a sea dye marker and a repair kit. The Standard Plus (45-AC4V-K2) and Deluxe (45-AC4V-K3) kits add further equipment.
Revere specifies the first service 24 months after purchase and annual service after that at a Revere-authorised service facility. The CO2 cylinder makes the packed raft a UN 2990 dangerous-goods shipment.
