Becker GT6201-10 is a VHF ground-to-air transceiver for airports, airfields and airline operation stations, with at least 10 W transmit power into 50 Ω. It covers 118.000–136.990 MHz with 8.33 or 25 kHz channel spacing. The unit fits a standard 2¼ in instrument cut-out, is fixed with four screws from the rear, measures 61 × 61 × 205.7 mm, needs 184.8 mm installation depth and weighs 645 g.
The transceiver stores 99 frequencies with text labels plus the last 9 used, and has dual watch with priority on the active frequency, carrier and noise squelch and an emergency mode. It has three standard microphone inputs, one dynamic microphone input, an auxiliary audio input, two headphone outputs, a 4 W speaker output and a line output. Supply is 10.25–32.2 V DC; full 10 W output needs 24 V DC or more.
Becker designs the GT6201 for control tower desks, 19-inch racks and vehicles. It complies with ETSI EN 300 676 and holds German BAF approval D-0030/2014. The installation also needs a 50 Ω antenna with BNC connector, a microphone, a headset or speaker, connector kits and a cable harness. Fit depends on the installation type.
