Mountain High O2D2-2G is a portable two-user pulse-demand oxygen delivery unit, supplied as a kit without regulator and cylinder for use with an existing cylinder and Mountain High regulator. The unit delivers an altitude-compensated pulse of oxygen to each user independently, only at the start of each inhalation; Mountain High states an average duration two to three times that of constant-flow systems.
A built-in barometer sets the dose from pressure altitude, so no flow adjustment is needed in flight. A rotary switch selects N mode (immediate flow), D5 or D10 (flow from 5,000 or 10,000 ft) and F1 to F4 (enriched flow for face masks); the mode applies to both users. Three AA alkaline batteries last about 50 hours with two users or 100 hours with one. Apnea and low-battery alarms can be routed to the aircraft intercom through a 3.5 mm audio output.
The kit contains the O2D2-2G unit, three AA batteries, two standard and two flare-tip cannulas, two face masks, the owner's manual and carry bags. The unit is calibrated for Mountain High regulators; for a built-in system with up to 90 psig at the outlets, Mountain High specifies its EDS-Inline regulator. Cannulas are used up to 18,000 ft; above that, Mountain High specifies a face mask. 00EDS-2200-00 is the US supply-line version. Fit depends on the regulator already in use.
