UMA 16-310-240 is a 3⅛ in (79 mm) airspeed indicator with a single 40–240 mph scale. It belongs to the UMA non-TSO range of flight instruments, which UMA groups under experimental flight instruments. It weighs 8.6 oz (about 244 g).
The Valox 420 plastic case is 3.125 in in diameter and about 3.9 in (100 mm) long including bezel and rear fitting; four counterbored mounting holes sit on a 3.50 in bolt circle. The pitot line connects to the port marked P and the static line to the port marked S; both ports have a 1/8-27 NPT thread. UMA offers custom range markings and internal lighting for this series as options on request.
UMA lists a TSO-C2d instrument with the same 40–240 mph range under T16-310-240; 16-310-240 itself has no TSO approval. The knots version is 16-311-240. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the required range markings.
