Start Pac 53025-24/28V is a portable aircraft power supply for 24 V systems that delivers up to 25 A DC continuous, without a duty cycle, at an output set to 28.5 V to match a running aircraft. It runs on single-phase mains of 90–240 V AC and draws 7 A at 110 V or 3.5 A at 220 V at maximum output. The unit is not designed for engine starting or for battery charging.
The power supply runs the aircraft electrical system for GPS programming and light maintenance while the aircraft battery is bypassed and kept for engine starting. Forced-air cooling and overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection are fitted; when overloaded, the unit trips and resets itself after a short time. The aluminium case is powder-coated. Start Pac also lists the model as 53025M.
A 2.4 m aircraft cable is built in; a multi-plug adaptor cable kit with Piper plug, red 3-pin connector and alligator clamps is available as a spare part. With cables the unit weighs 3 kg and measures 30 × 13 × 10 cm. Fit depends on the aircraft types to be powered and the aircraft connector type.
