Artex A1-12-0135-1 is the G-switch (acceleration switch) of the ARTEX ELT 345 emergency locator transmitter, mounted in the front cover assembly A3-06-2879. The switch closes momentarily under a sudden acceleration or deceleration and activates the ELT; in the CMM centrifuge test the ELT 345 must activate between 2.00 and 2.6 g and stay inactive below 2.00 g.
Replacement is a component repair under ACR CMM 25-60-12: the switch is bonded into its cavity with hot melt and RTV, the leads are soldered to the circuit board, and the centrifuge test follows; the ELT is then released to service. For C406, B406-4 and G406-4 ELTs, ACR CMM 25-60-03 lists kit 8719 with G-switch A1-12-0135-2 instead. Fit depends on the ELT model and its serial number.
