Bose 857642-2170 is the down cable for the Bose A30 aviation headset with a 5-pin XLR plug, a straight cable and an electret microphone, without Bluetooth. Cable and microphone are changed on the A30 without tools and can be mounted on either side of the headset.

Bose describes the 5-pin XLR as the Airbus plug: a mono connection powered by the aircraft or by batteries, depending on the aircraft. With flexible power, the headset changes between aircraft and battery power when the supply is disconnected. The item is the cable with microphone; the A30 headset is not included. Fit depends on the headset jacks installed in the aircraft.

Time: Typically 3–4 weeks. Warranty 3 months. Released on EASA Form 1 or FAA 8130-3.

Repair

Serial: Yours stays. No swap unit — that is Exchange.
Shop: We inspect, quote, then repair. Accept the repair quote and the evaluation fee already paid is deducted. Decline or BER — unit returns as-is; evaluation fee stays.
Time: Typically 2–6 weeks after you approve the quote, parts depending. Warranty 3 months. Released on EASA Form 1 or FAA 8130-3.

Return the core in equivalent packaging, with removal data and a non-incident statement where you have them. Late, incomplete, or rejected-core terms are on the quote.
