Comant CI 110-60-30 is a DME/transponder antenna for 960–1220 MHz, designed for business jets and high-speed commercial aircraft. The all-metal, low-profile antenna uses a six-hole mount and a C-type connector, weighs 0.25 lb (0.11 kg) and takes a side load of 175 lb.
The antenna is vertically polarized with 50 Ω impedance, VSWR of 1.5:1 maximum and an RF power rating of 3 kW peak and 100 W average. It is suited to standard and Mode S transponders and is approved to FAA TSO-C66c, TSO-C74c and TSO-C112, with environmental testing to RTCA DO-160D. It is rated to 70,000 ft, −55 to +85 °C and 600 kt TAS at 25,000 ft.
Installation on a certified aircraft needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the model of the installed DME or transponder antenna.
