Collins ALI-80A is a panel-mounted barometric altimeter for Collins air data systems. It takes digital altitude data from the air data computer and shows altitude from −1000 to +50,000 ft on a pointer and a numeric counter.

The barometric setting is entered on the instrument within 22.00 to 32.00 inHg and is shown on a separate readout. The ALI-80A family has versions with black or gray bezel, 5 V or 28 V supply, white or blue-white lighting and, in some versions, HIRF protection. The case measures 86 × 86 × 235 mm and weighs 1.4 kg.

The shop item is P/N 622-3975-014; its condition and release document are stated in the quote. Installation in a certified aircraft ends with a release to service. Fit depends on the P/N with dash number and the installed air data computer.

Advanced Exchange ships a serviceable unit before the core is returned. Future Exchange begins after receipt and evaluation of the core and does not require a deposit. Repair retains the original serial number and starts with inspection and quotation.

Repair

Serial: Yours stays. No swap unit — that is Exchange.
Shop: We inspect, quote, then repair. Accept the repair quote and the evaluation fee already paid is deducted. Decline or BER — unit returns as-is; evaluation fee stays.
Time: Typically 2–6 weeks after you approve the quote, parts depending. Warranty 3 months. Released on EASA Form 1 or FAA 8130-3.

Return the core in equivalent packaging, with removal data and a non-incident statement where you have them. Late, incomplete, or rejected-core terms are on the quote.
