EarthX ETX18F is a 13.2 V lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) starter battery of the ETX Series, which EarthX lists for motorcycles and ATV/UTVs. It has 6.2 Ah capacity at the 1C rate (18 Ah lead-acid equivalent) and delivers 230 A cold cranking and 340 A pulse cranking current. It measures 150 × 86 × 93 mm and weighs 1.0 kg.
The integrated battery management system balances the cells and protects them against over-charge, over-discharge, short circuit and excessive cranking; above 16 V it blocks the charge current. The standard charge voltage is 13.9–14.6 V, the recommended charger current 0.8–8 A and the maximum charge current 30 A; the maximum continuous discharge is 60 A. The case is rated IP66 for −30 to +60 °C. The ETX18B has the same ratings in a 135 × 66 × 105 mm case. The ETX18F replaces the discontinued ETX18C. Two terminal adapters, two 6 mm screws and foam spacers are included.
For aircraft, EarthX recommends only its ETX-Hundred Series as the primary (starter) battery and supplies FAA-approved batteries for certified aircraft only as separate TSO models.
