Yaesu FTA-750L is a VHF airband handheld transceiver with VOR and ILS navigation display and an integrated 66-channel WAAS GPS receiver. It transmits on 118.000–136.975 MHz with 1.5 W carrier output (5.0 W PEP), receives 108.000–136.975 MHz and the glide slope band 329.150–335.000 MHz, and works with 25 kHz or 8.33 kHz channel spacing.
The radio is set to 25 kHz by default; the 8.33 kHz step is selected in the COM setup menu and applies to the COM band only. The display shows a CDI for VOR and for localizer and glide slope, and the GPS provides waypoint navigation with bearing, course over ground, distance and speed, plus position logging. The radio has 200 memory channels with 15-character names, dual watch on a priority channel, a dedicated 121.5 MHz key, a 1.7 × 1.7 in dot-matrix display (160 × 160), IPX5 water protection and testing to MIL-STD-810F.
The SBR-39LI Li-ion pack (7.2 V, 2200 mAh) lasts about 12 hours at a 6:6:48 transmit/receive/standby ratio, and the SBT-12 tray takes six AA cells. The antenna jack is BNC. The operating manual lists battery, charger with cradle, 12 V adapter, helical antenna, headset adapter, AA tray and USB cable as standard accessories, which vary by region.
