Garmin 117-01472-01 is the switch mount for a Cygnet trim switch on the ramshorn control wheel of Piper aircraft with the GFC 500 autopilot. Garmin lists it as an optional part, available separately from the installation kits, in the GFC 500 installation addenda for Piper PA-24, PA-28, PA-32 and PA-34 models. The mount carries the Cygnet trim switch 340-00234-00 and the autopilot disconnect switch; both switches are separate Garmin P/Ns. For a toggle trim switch Garmin specifies mount 117-01472-00, and for one PA-32 serial number the addendum allows 117-01472-11 instead.
Switch mounting follows GFC 500 installation manual 190-02291-00 and the addendum for the aircraft model under FAA STC SA01866WI. The US STC is not EASA approval in itself; on an EASA aircraft the work needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the aircraft model and serial number.
