Sensata Klixon 7277-2 is a series of single-phase thermal circuit breakers without ambient temperature compensation, used extensively as primary electrical circuit protection on general aviation aircraft. The trip-free breakers weigh 28 g maximum. The shop offers the ratings 0.75, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7.5, 10 and 15 A; the rating is the last part of the P/N, for example 7277-2-5 for 5 A. The 7277 is the commercial grade of the Klixon 7274-2: Sensata states that both are physically and electrically identical, with wider calibration limits on the 7277.

At 25 °C the ultimate trip current is 110–150 % of rating, and the trip time is 2–35 s at 200 %, 0.15–1.7 s at 500 % and 0.028–0.55 s at 1000 % of rating. Sensata rates the interrupting capacity as unlimited at 28 V DC up to 5 A and 2,000 A at 28 V DC for 7.5–15 A; at 120 V AC 400 Hz it is unlimited up to 1.5 A, 800 A for 2–5 A and 500 A for 7.5–20 A. Vibration resistance is 10 g from 50 to 500 Hz and shock resistance 35 g.

A certified aircraft needs the breaker installed to approved data and a Certificate of Release to Service. The right version depends on the amperage rating.
