Mid-Continent MD302 SAM P/N 6420302-3 is the remote-mount version of the MD302 standby attitude module. It has no display and no internal battery and provides attitude, altitude, airspeed, slip and vertical trend data on its ARINC 429 output, plus heading with an MD32 magnetometer or external heading data. It accepts 10–32 V DC.
Mid-Continent designs this version for installation in the instrument panel or in the equipment bay of the aircraft. The MD302 installation manual 9017782 lists 6420302-3 as the remote-mounted version and refers to the manufacturer for its installation details.
A certified aircraft needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service after installation. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the system that receives the ARINC 429 data.
