Mountain High 00EDS-1084-00 is the standard-tip replacement cannula with 48 in (1.2 m) tubing for Mountain High EDS pulse-demand oxygen systems. Mountain High lists it for the A1, D1, D1a, O2D1 and O2D2 units and for late-model (ip) built-in systems. Cannula and kink-resistant tubing are designed and tested by Mountain High for the correct pulse-demand flow; a standard medical cannula may not deliver adequate oxygen flow with an EDS unit.
The standard tip suits small or normal-size nostrils. For larger nostrils or difficulty triggering the unit, Mountain High recommends the flare-tip version 00EDS-1084-01; both tips are also available with 24 in tubing (00EDS-1084-02 and -03). The EDS user manual limits cannula use to 18,000 ft; above that a face mask is used. Fit depends on the EDS unit in use.
