PilotStyle PS073 Portable 4-Place Intercom

PS073 is a portable four-place aviation intercom from PilotStyle, AIR TEAM’s own brand. A 9 V battery powers the unit for more than 30 hours of continuous operation. The front panel has jacks for pilot, co-pilot and two passengers and a PTT button.

  • Four places for pilot, co-pilot and two passengers, each with its own pair of jacks.

  • A 9 V battery powers the unit for more than 30 hours of continuous operation.

  • Mono and stereo headsets work with it. Headsets from different manufacturers connect if their impedance is the same.

  • The volume control has an integrated power switch, and average current draw is 15 mA.

  • Output power is 250 mW and microphone jack impedance is 680 Ω.

  • The front panel has a PTT button, a toggle switch marked RADIO and INTERCOM, and IN and OUT jacks.

Front panel and connections

Front panel and connections

Each of the four places has its own pair of jacks, labelled PILOT, CO-PILOT and PASSENGER (two). The front panel also carries ON/VOL and MUTE knobs, a toggle switch, IN and OUT jacks and a PTT button.

Headsets and power

All four places take mono or stereo headsets. Headsets from different makers can be mixed on the intercom when their impedance is the same, so the impedance in the headset data is worth checking before the first flight.

The unit carries its own 9 V battery and switches on at the volume knob. At an average draw of 15 mA, one battery covers more than 30 hours of operation.
